As we reflect on our 2023 year, one of the things we take pride in is our commitment to capturing and immortalizing your memories. 

2023 was a year filled with innovation and creativity and we are honored to share some of our favorite moments from the year with you.

We undertook the exciting journey of revamping and relaunching our website. The aim was to provide our clients with an enhanced and user-friendly platform, ensuring a seamless experience in exploring our services. Every page was thoughtfully redesigned and reorganized to take you on an enjoyable journey through our services, our team, how to contact us and more! 

We also have the addition of this blog to our website, which has given us another way to connect with people who are both interested in getting professional photos taken and taking photos of their own. We have so many more helpful tips and fun stories to share as we move into the new year. 

Even more… we aren’t done! We continue to update our website with some of our favorite photos from our most recent shoots, so you can always come back and check in for some of our newest images.

Embracing the allure of social media, we finally stepped into the vibrant world of Instagram. While we have had a Facebook page for a while, shifting our attention over to Instagram gave us an opportunity to connect with a wider range of people. On our page we share some of our favorite final photos, behind-the-scenes moments, updates on our business, and more! 

It allows us to engage with our wonderful community of clients and fellow photographers. Because of the importance of collaboration within the photography industry, Instagram has served as a great place to give and take new ideas with those around us.

Celebrating the essence of love in every way, we partnered with a multitude of other Savannah wedding vendors to create a magical and beautiful styled bridal shoot. This shoot was a wonderful mixture of laughter and creativity that led to some of our favorite photos of the year.

Evolution is the key to the dynamic world of photography. Because of that, we left Phoenix Photography behind in 2023 and made the transition to Darla Divine Photography. Along with this name change came our new logo design, brand colors, and so much more! The rebrand also led to a new look to our Website and Social Media accounts as well as a new email and so much more!

Our new brand represents our company in a more genuine way and speaks clearly to who Darla is as a photographer, closely matching her style and the magical touch she puts on every photo. It puts a greater emphasis on our passion for wedding and maternity photography; it reflects our dedication to capturing divine moments and creating a brand that resonates with our clients.

Recognizing the growing trend and loving atmosphere of intimate and unique weddings, we launched Divine Savannah Elopements with Andy Uhlig from Divine Marriage Union. This specialized service is designed to capture the magic and intimacy of elopements against the breathtaking backdrop of Savannah, offering couples a truly unforgettable experience.

This new business endeavor is here to make your elopement everything you have ever dreamed of. Make every aspect of your day special to you through our wide array of packages and ad-ons. For the simplest of ceremonies, we have a quick and easy process of signing the marriage certificate with Andy, for those who want a little more glamour we have our Savannah Love Story package which includes your personalized ceremony, a photo session, flowers, cake, champagne and even room for a few guests. If you don’t want one of the packages with everything included, we also have the option to buy flowers, champagne, cake, hair and makeup a la carte. Our goal is to make this as personalized and stress free for our couples as possible because at the end of the day, this is truly all about them.

Embracing the Christmas spirit, our mini sessions with Santa and our decorated holiday studio became one of the most heartwarming parts of our 2023 season. Families and children joined us to capture the magic of the holiday season, creating cherished memories that will be passed down through generations. 

Santa came to spend a few weekends with us in November and December to collect all of the Christmas wishes from the kids that came to get their photos taken with him, check his nice list once again, and even hand out some holiday cheer. This was an event filed with so much joy and led to some beautiful family moments.

Even when Santa wasn’t available, our set was used for a multitude of photos with family and friends as our tree, candles, and fire sparkled in the background. We were visited by a wide range of families dressed from their Christmas sweaters to their holiday best. It really was a treat to be a part of so much holiday spirit and this is a tradition we plan on continuing for years to come, so not to worry if you missed it. You can always come visit both us and Santa next year.

Our passion for capturing unique moments continues to drive us. As we move in to 2024, we want to share with you some of our exciting plans that promise to elevate the experiences we offer our clients.

In the spirit of embracing the beauty of all women, Darla Divine Photography is thrilled to announce our 40 Over 40 Women’s Project. This initiative aims to celebrate the magnificence and wisdom that comes with age, capturing the essence of individuals at the age of 40 with our creative photos. We are here to showcase the star you are both inside and out.

Building on the success and love we had at our Holiday Mini Sessions, we plan to continue with quarterly mini sessions for every time of the year. Some of the sessions we have to look forward to are Spring in Bloom, Star Spangled Shoots, Pumpkin Palooza, and of course another season of Tinsel Time. This will allow our clients to capture the beauty of each season and create a visual diary that reflects the changing landscapes of our lives. These events are fun for everyone from children to couples and beyond as they celebrate what makes each season special to them.

As we move on from 2023, Darla Divine Photography is filled with excitement and anticipation for 2024. The growth, memorable events, and new projects have expanded our community even more and strengthened our commitment to preserving timeless moments for everyone who comes to see us.
